Thurrock Kitchens and Bathrooms designs and installs bespoke bathrooms in Thurrock, from a refitted en-suite to a full wellness suite with a steam room. Nothing comes from a standard fitted range. The layout, storage, brassware and finishes are drawn around your room and the way you use it.
That is where the luxury details come in. Floating vanities are made to measure in moisture-resistant MDF, walls are clad in bookmatched porcelain slabs with the veining running across each joint, and concealed thermostatic valves leave only the controls on show. A filled stone resin bath weighs several hundred kilos, so the joists are checked and strengthened before it goes in.
Our team has fitted bathrooms across Grays, Chafford Hundred, Tilbury, Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham and South Ockendon for 20 years. Part P electricians, Gas Safe engineers, tilers and joiners all work under one contract, and the price is itemised and fixed for the agreed scope before fitting starts.

A made-to-measure vanity uses the space around the basin that a standard unit leaves empty. We build the cabinet in moisture-resistant MDF, hide the waste and supply pipes inside it and fit soft-close drawers sized for what you keep by the sink. Wall-hung designs also leave the floor clear, which makes the room look bigger and easier to clean.

A stone resin bath full of water puts a heavy point load on a timber floor. Joist sistering, extra noggins or a strengthened deck spread that load, depending on what the survey finds. Our team checks the joist sizes and deflection before the finished floor goes down, which keeps the tiles from cracking later.

Large porcelain slabs carry one continuous pattern across a wall with very few grout lines. Bookmatching mirrors the veining at each joint, so the slabs have to be cut and hung in a set order. Thurrock Kitchens and Bathrooms plans every cut around niches, corners and pipework before the first slab is lifted, and our tilers set each joint by eye as well as by level.

Concealed brassware hides the valve body inside the wall and leaves only the controls and shower head on show. The valve has to sit at exactly the right depth before tiling, which is why we set and pressure-test it at first fix. A thermostatic cartridge holds the water at the temperature you choose, even when someone else turns on a tap.

A freestanding stone resin bath feels solid and keeps the water warm for longer than acrylic. The trap, waste and tap positions are fixed against the finished floor level before the bath is set in place. We leave enough space around it to clean the floor and sides, which matters more than most people expect.

A frameless screen separates the shower without boxing it in. Panels are 10mm toughened safety glass, positioned around the shower tray or wet room floor and fixed with minimal hardware so the tiling stays the feature. Our fitters seal the base and wall channel, and the smooth glass wipes down in seconds after a shower.

Thurrock Kitchens and Bathrooms measures the bathroom and test the static water pressure. The floor joists are inspected where a freestanding bath or large-format surfaces are planned, and strengthened if the structure needs it.
Pipework is rerouted or recessed to suit the new layout, including concealed valve bodies. Our electricians position the points for lighting and heated towel rails before the walls and floors are closed up.
Wet areas are tanked across the walls and floor. Underfloor heating goes in at this stage where it is part of the design, then the surfaces are prepared for the porcelain, with joints, falls and service openings set out.
Made-to-measure vanities, toilets, storage, baths and fixtures go in once the finished surfaces are ready. Brassware, taps and shower fittings are then connected and checked against the approved layout.
We test shower flow and temperature against the water pressure recorded at the survey. Drainage, seals, plumbing and electrics are checked before the final walkthrough, and any snagging is cleared before handover.
